The St. Andrew's Society of MacRae Meadows would like to thank the Grandfather Mountain Highland Games, Billings Suttlers, Clan McBubba and Mrs. Nancy McKay for their patronage and support of the children at the Grandfather Mountain Highland Games. The 2007 Children's Highland Wrestling Competition was held on the field on Saturday, July 14, 2007, with approximately 75 young athletes participating.

The 2007 champions are as follows:

The wee wee Lasses - Rosie Baillie
The wee Lasses - Megan White
The wee Lads - Matt Ross
Young girls - Katie Olson
Young boys - Zach Bullard
Youth light weight - Josh Stevens
Young Men light weight - Jack Stevens
Young Men middle weight - Tim Hubbard

The following four children will be added to the Sam McKay Memorial Trophy: Rosie Baillie, Megan White, Matt Ross and Zack Bullard. Sam was a Highland Wrestling competitor on the mountain for many years and was a great supporter of our children.

We especially want to thank our parents, children and volunteers for their participation and look forward to next year's event.
